Kingston retains top spot in global DRAM module market for 2025 1

TrendForce reported that the global DRAM module market generated approximately $21.2 billion in revenue in 2025, a 59% year-on-year increase and a sharp acceleration from the 7% growth seen in 2024. That expansion was driven by rising DRAM prices and stronger shipment volumes in the second half of the year. Kingston’s own revenue grew 48% year-on-year in 2025, reinforcing its position in a market where the top five DRAM module suppliers together accounted for just 77% of total revenue, with Kingston alone representing nearly two-thirds of that share.

The DRAM market went through a notable shift over the course of 2025. Early in the year, module manufacturers built up DDR4 inventory in response to tariff concerns and suppliers’ plans to phase out DDR4 products. Later in the year, growing demand from cloud service providers supporting agentic AI workloads significantly increased server DRAM consumption, which reduced the DRAM allocation available for PC and consumer products and contributed to higher memory prices and stronger module market performance overall. That shift made clear that enterprise, data center, and AI infrastructure demand has become the primary driver of the memory market, which also happens to be where Kingston has been steadily growing its B2B business.

Kingston’s large-scale procurement capabilities let the company manage inventory strategically throughout the year, and as DRAM pricing strengthened in the second half, it was well positioned to aggressively support channel demand, contributing to its strong annual performance. TrendForce also noted that DRAM module manufacturers increasingly focused on industrial and enterprise server markets during 2025 while accelerating their shift toward DDR5-based products. Beyond the channel business, Kingston’s B2B segment saw strong growth as enterprise, data center, and industrial customers increasingly turned to the company for supply continuity, validated solutions, and long-term support.

The brand said maintaining its leadership position in a fast-moving memory market reflects its long-term strategy, strong supplier relationships, and commitment to serving customers worldwide, crediting its ability to anticipate market transitions and manage inventory effectively for helping support partners throughout the year.

The company also pointed to its B2B business as an increasingly important growth engine, with enterprise, data center, and industrial customers relying on it for supply continuity and long-term support, adding that its memory solutions spanning client PCs to AI infrastructure put it in a strong position to help customers scale wherever their workloads take them.
