Apple’s “Air” week has arrived and for today’s announcement, it’s all about the MacBook Air. Apple only updated the MacBook Air now with the M4 chip, but the MacBook Pro was already available with the M4 chip for about 4 months already.
Anyway, the new MacBook Air comes with the new Sky Blue color, joining the existing Midnight, Starlight, and Silver color options. This metallic light blue hue creates a stunning gradient effect when light reflects off its surface. Apple has also included a color-matched MagSafe charging cable for a seamless look. It is also available in both 13-inch and 15-inch versions.
The main star of the show is the M4 chip that is powering the brand new MacBook Air. It offers 2x the performance of the M1 model and 23x faster compared to the Intel-based MacBook Air from yesteryear.
The M4 MacBook Air is configurable to up to a 10-core CPU with 10-core GPU, and 32GB of unified memory.
Of course, the M4 chip will also enable the usage of Apple Intelligence too. It will deliver powerful AI-driven tools like Image Playground, Genmoji, Writing Tools, and smarter Siri integration too.
The new M4 MacBook Air will also support up to 2x 6K external displays in addition to its built-in Liquid Retina display. This is a great upgrade for those who are using an M1 MacBook Air that only supports a single external display.
Pricing and Availability
The new MacBook Air with M4 will soon be available for order through Apple’s website, Apple Store locations, and authorized resellers.
