OPPO Malaysia has revealed the new OPPO Pad 2 tablet that was shown as a surprise bomb at the Singapore launch party.
Those with sharp eyes might see this in the first second and that’s the aspect ratio of the screen.
Yes, not 16:9; Not 16:10; It is 7:5.
The reason they picked this one is that it is kind of “similar” to PCs, A4 papers, and books, so those who deal with that dimension might appreciate this “wonky” 7:5 aspect ratio that provides nearly 10% extra viewing area.
A bit of software magic has been implemented as well that guarantees the consistency of that 7:5 aspect ratio across full-screen and split-screen modes.
As for the panel, it is a 2800×2000 144Hz screen with a high color accuracy of Delta E less than 2. The adaptive refresh rate keeps power consumption as efficient as possible while the TÜV Rheinland-certified Low Blue Light makes your eyes more comfortable.
Aside from the great screen, the Pad 2 is also packed with 4x symmetrical-placed speakers with an 8.0cc sound cavity.
Pairing those two factors with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos enhancement, get the most out of your video entertainment at home.
This new device also serves as part of the multitasking ecosystem thanks to Multi-Screen Connect 2.0 compatibility out of the box.
By pairing it with any OPPO smartphone, it can receive phone calls, read messages, view and edit content in the phone directly from the tablet itself.
You also have the usual productivity features like Screen Mirroring and Screencast for the likes of presentations.
Revealed together with OPPO Pad 2 is the accessory combo of the Smart Touchpad Keyboard, OPPO Pencil, and Pad 2 Leather Casing.
The Smart Touchpad Keyboard is quite straightforward – Pairs with magnets, no manual charging is required, and access to gestures, snap-in and use. Meanwhile, the Pencil is pretty standard too with the 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and 2ms input latency.
