Counterpoint Research published a rather peculiar finding that revolves around telephoto cameras in our smartphones. Surprisingly, there are already over 200 million smartphones sold that have a telephoto camera in 2022, and 2024 is going to beat that record as consumers demand it now.
The telephoto camera is used for many things – the most obvious is for zooming. Still, it is also used to take beautiful portrait pictures.
Like any other form of technology, as time goes by, it will trickle down and be even more accessible to everyone. Hence, this telephoto camera will be found in more affordable smartphones this year. That is why 2024 is set to be the year that can beat the 2022 record.
Within just China alone, there has already been a remarkable uptick in the telephoto camera demand since Q3 of 2023. That’s why smartphone brands like OPPO are responding to this demand by bringing in the telephoto camera to their mid-tier smartphones too.
OPPO has always positioned itself as a smartphone brand focusing on high-quality mobile photography. OPPO’s Reno series is their premiere smartphone series that is constantly evolving and actually – the Reno10 series was the first to feature a telephoto lens. As a result, it is celebrated for offering top-tier photography features at a price accessible to a broad consumer base.
Now, OPPO is going to bring forth even more advancements in the upcoming OPPO Reno11 series.
The OPPO Reno11 series is arriving in the Malaysian market on 11th January 2024 – and our review is coming at that time too.
