- Page 5: What do we think about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3?
Xiaomi’s Mi Mix series of smartphones took us all by surprise when it was first announced. The high screen to body ratio, beautiful ceramic build, and let’s not forget the craftsmanship that goes into designing the phone. A few generations later, we arrive at the Mi Mix 3 – this time with an interesting innovation behind it.
Of course, I’m referring to the sliding mechanism. It is using a neodymium magnet on both halves of the phone. Perfectly calibrated, the magnets’s repulsion and attraction forces acts as a slider mechanism. It is the first smartphone to be announced to have this type of innovation.
This is not a full review like we always do, but just a preview. It is because the unit that we managed to get our hands on is directly from China.
The Mi Mix 3 comes in a box that is square box. Nothing out of the ordinary yet. Opening up the lid, however, we’re greeted with a flap from the inside. It’s a greeting from Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, which is debossed in gold.
On the road of exploration, we will constantly invest, constantly strive, and constantly break through.
We are willing to devote an additional 100%, even if we only improve by 1%. Be friends with our users.
Be the coolest company in the hearts of our users.
After taking the lid and the greeting message away, we can finally get a glimpse of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 in all its glory. Once again, everything is in Chinese because this particular version is from China.
Under the cradle we can see that Xiaomi included a wireless charging pad in the box itself alongside with the standard wall charger and a USB-C cable.
Under the holder for the wireless charger pad is where the other accessories and documentations are found.
Digging up everything, we can find a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle, the aforementioned charger, wireless charger, and USB-C cable, and also an included hard shell case.
