Samsung has launched the new T9 portable SSD globally last week which will be a lifesaver for those who need to keep moving files on the go.
The T9 offers blazing speeds, with 2GBps read and write speeds, thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface, the speed is approximately twice as fast as its predecessor, the T7 model.
Speaking of the T7, the T9 carries forward the design elements of the older T7 Shield, which combines ruggedness with a touch of luxury. It features curved diagonal lines and reverse carbon patterns, giving it a distinctive appearance.
Moreover, the T9 is designed to be “anti-drop” and can withstand falls from heights of up to 3 meters without any issues.
In addition to its robust physical design, the T9 boasts a smart feature called Dynamic Thermal Guard. This feature minimizes the impact of thermal throttling, ensuring a consistent transfer speed.
On the other hand, Samsung’s Magician Software 8.0 supports the T9 out of the box, providing users with valuable information to maintain the drive’s optimal performance.
As part of the package, you’ll receive USB A-to-C and C-to-C cables, ensuring compatibility with various port types on your laptop for seamless file transfers.
Availability
Although the Samsung T9 has been made officially in some other places, the local pricing for Malaysia is unavailable at the time of writing.
