It’s been a year. Actually by the time this article is published, it would be nearly 3 weeks since its birthday. Happy belated birthday to you, Windows. It’s been a hectic and controversial year for you where Microsoft forcefully pushed updates to those who didn’t want it, and caused major issues. There’s even a court case surrounding this controversy as well, and Microsoft had to pay $10,000 to settle it. Not too expensive, but it’s something.
Everyone was pretty clear on which camp they’re joining. Microsoft brings forth their promised major update. Dubbed as the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft brings a hell lot of changes to Windows 10.
Here are a few highlights:
- Windows Ink
- Security features for consumers- Windows Hello, Windows Defender
- Microsoft Edge
- Dark theme (my favourite) and UI tweaks
- New Bash shell (lets you run Linux software on Windows 10)
