There has been a lot of hacks going on these days – especially on the subject of YouTube hack. I personally witnessed LeafyIsHere got hacked in real time. All of his video titles got changed to “HACKED BY POODLECORP”. No one knew what’s going on, but now we have a clue on what’s going on.

Pretty sure everyone knows what Anonymous group is, and some might know Lizard Squad. Here, we introduce you to the latest “hacking” group – PoodleCorp. Wait, what? Poodles? Everyone was afraid as no one knew how PoodleCorp bypassed 2FA, as it needs the authorized phone number to authenticate the login. Allegedly, they’re  the ones who tried to hack h3h3Productions too. They got busted however, and now we know how they did it.

Of all people, h3h3Productions is the one who came out with a complete story of how they nearly got hacked, and how this YouTube hack might come to an end. They blamed the entire fiasco on T-Mobile, because they’re the one who gave out SIM cards and don’t give a shit at all. PoodleCorp ended up tweeting this, potentially mocking at h3h3Productions. It doesn’t mean much at all, but that side – h3h3Productions never mentioned specifically that it’s PoodleCorp tried to hack them. But based on what he said, it sounds like they are referring to PoodleCorp.

Inb4 Malaysian telcos, please don’t give out information like this. 2FA is supposed to be secure. Ethan from h3h3Productions tweeted saying “ANYONE THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR SECURITY BUY A USB PASSKEY RIGHT NOW”.
You can learn more about USB passkeys right here. Technically speaking, they take 2FA from your phone onto your USB device. There are lots of guides on how to create your own USB passkeys, given that USB flash drives are everywhere these days. Check it out one of the guide here by MakeUseOf.Be sure not to lose that USB though.

Yeah, that might be your best bet for now. Nothing is 100% secure and unbreakable. Real tough lucky trying to constantly catch up on how to secure anything online these days. God damn, how they hack isn’t even clean at all. It’s just sloppy.

UPDATE: John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile USA responded to Ethan on Twitter, saying this. Good for you – but that doesn’t solve anything yet.

UPDATE: Aw shit, h3h3Productions’s websites are getting hacked! It started off with this:

Then, things get a little ugly with this series of tweets.

And finally, I think this will give Ethan and Hila both a heart attack when they see this.

UPDATE: Linus Tech Tips came out and described everything. Seems like PoodleCorp is a fucking identity thief instead of bring a hacker.
