So everyone has been anxiously waiting, eagerly seeking for answers if their Android device will be updated to the next iteration of Android – Lollipop.
Google’s sweetest release yet has a lot of additional features which I would really like to test it for myself, particularly those features available on the Motorola Moto X since last year. This is Google’s major overhaul on Android since the Holo design back during the days of Galaxy Nexus – and that is already 3 years ago (or more?).
GSM Arena has a neat list of devices that are getting Android 5.0 Lollipop, and here I am simplifying the list, so that only Malaysia-available devices are shown.
Motorola
Sony
- Xperia Z
- Xperia ZL
- Xperia ZR
- Xperia Z1
- Xperia Z1s
- Xperia Z Ultra
- Xperia Z1 Compact
- Xperia Z2
- Xperia Z2 Tablet
- Xperia Z3
- Xperia Z3v
- Xperia Z3 Compact
- Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
HTC
Are you excited for the update? I sure am. Do note that this list will be updated when more devices are confirmed to be getting Android 5.0 Lollipop, so do keep an eye out for our update!
UPDATE : On the list of Google Play Edition (GPE) phones, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is listed, so expecting that the S5 with TouchWiz will get Lollipop is quite realistic.
