If there’s one thing every potential new MacBook Air customers should pay attention to, it’s the two new ASUS computers.
Let’s start off with something that will make the potential MacBook customers jealous – convertible devices. Who doesn’t want a touch screen? Better yet, why not a 2-in-1 – a laptop and tablet in one set?
It’s only fair for such a device to be competing against the new MacBook Air, as the all new ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi packs a 12.5-inch screen and an Intel Core M processor wrapped in an aluminium unibody design, and yet only 1.65cm thin when docked. The new MacBook Air ain’t got nothing on this. Also, the keyboard is connected via Bluetooth with a range up to 20m.
Secondly comes the all-new ZenBook UX305, which has actual ports.
This 13.3-inch ultrabook weighs 1.2kg, has an Intel Core M processor powering up a QHD+ display, and also with an aluminium unibody design. For the ports, there’s mini-HDMI, an audio jack, one card reader, and three USB 3.0 ports.
That said, the new ZenBook UX305 is only 12.3mm thin, has 256GB SSD, 802.11ac WiFi, and comes with black or white colour.
Priced at RM2,399 for the [128GB SSD + Intel Core M 5Y10] and RM2,999 for the [256GB SSD + Intel Core M 5y71] spec, it’s very nicely priced compared to the “all new” MacBook Air which requires another additional accessory. Talk about a heavy price!
The new ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi costs RM3,199.
If you’re looking to look into something new before GST, good news – these two devices are available by the end of March!
