eSports is continuously growing – and we all know that. Mainstream sports channels know that, and that’s why we can now watch eSport matches on live TV. ASUS knows that too, and they’re sponsoring the rising team called PSG, or Paris Saint-Germain. The name PSG is also the same as the French football club, actually.
So what exactly is ASUS ROG sponsoring PSG? Quite a lot of things, actually. For starters, they’re getting ROG G20 gaming desktops to ASUS 144Hz MG248Q gaming monitors for their Berlin-based gaming house. But that’s not enough – ASUS is also sponsoring them ROG Strix GL702 gaming laptops too – just in case they’re traveling and needs a quick practice round.
We’re not really sure on what specs are both the ROG G20 desktop and ROG Strix GL705 gaming laptops, but our guess is it’s enough for gaming purposes. As for the MG248Q monitor, it’s a 24-inch 1080p TN display with 144Hz and has flicker-free technology.
What games do they play, by the way? Well, as of now, there are two games – League of Legends, and FIFA. The League of Legends team consist of a total of 6 players, while the FIFA has a total of 2 players. I wonder if the PSG FIFA eSports team will compete using their own real PSG team in a match… 😀
Anyway, you can learn more about PSG eSports here. And I gotta say – eSports are really on the rise these days!
