It comes to no surprise that ASUS is clearing the stocks of their previous-generation smartphone now. This time around, they’re clearing two smartphone models that were launched last year – the ZenFone Max Plus (M1) codenamed ZB580TL, and also the Zenfone 4 Max codenamed ZC520KL.
We’ve reviewed the Max Plus (M1) and it was deemed as one of the more affordable smartphone with decent specs at that time. As time passes on, the affordability of the phone drops – and ASUS is now readjusting the price to make it affordable again.
For the price of RM499 (previously RM649), you have a smartphone with 4,130mAh battery and true dual SIM with triple slots – two Nano SIM slots and another microSD card slot.
As for the ZenFone 4 Max, it has a 4,100mAh battery and also features the same true dual SIM with two Nano SIM slots and another microSD card slot. And it is available for the price of only RM399 (previously RM499)
So what’s the difference between the two? Firstly, the screen. The Max Plus (M1) has an 18:9 screen. In terms of specs, let’s just say that both aren’t particularly powerful for gaming, but the Max Plus (M1) should be better.
