If you’ve never heard of OtterBox – the company that makes really weather-resistant cases while still being able to withstand harsh environments. Of course, OtterBox only makes the accessory for other products and adds their signature features to them. Obviously by doing this, the solution isn’t as elegant nor thin, let alone being convenient.
Dell has something else in mind – why not integrate all them together? OtterBox-like features built into a portable device. Introducing the Dell Latitude 12 Rugget Tablet – it can survive water spills, sand and dust, drops from over four feet and extreme temperatures.
To dominate the environment even more, there are pogo pins where a desk dock or a keyboard can be mounted. There is also another optional full-sized keyboard cover with customizable RGB backlight and rated at an amazing IP65 – that means the whole thing can also be submerged in water.
The price and availability will be announced later this month, so be sure to keep an eye out!
