Three things. These are the three things that Samsung announced in MWC2017, but there was absolutely zero news about the Galaxy S8 at all. That doesn’t mean that their announcements at MWC2017 are to be dismissed because they’re bringing something new to their products.
Galaxy Tab S3 & Galaxy Book
Firstly, the Galaxy Tab S3. It has a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Secondly, the Galaxy Book, a Windows 10-powered device. It comes in two flavors – a 10.6-inch version with TFT LCD display and an Intel Core m3 dual-core processor at 2.6GHz, whereas the second one is a 12-inch Super AMOLED version with a dual-core Intel 7th Generation Core i5 running at 3.1GHz. To be clear, these two aspects alone is able to tell which device is more powerful than the other.
Both the Galaxy Tab S3 and Galaxy Book 12-inch version supports 10-bit colored HDR for a more vivid and true-to-life colors. The S Pen has also been refined as it now has a 0.7mm tip and increased pressure sensitivity.
Then there’s Samsung Flow. It’s a niche piece of feature that makes working between mobile devices a lot simpler and easier. By utilizing biometric authentication, compatible devices can wireless tether between each other to transfer documents between each other, while syncing message notifications too. This is most useful for those who switch between smartphones and tablet.

Samsung & HARMAN International
Samsung has actually partnered with HARMANto announce a new level of audio experiences on Samsung Galaxy devices with the integration of Grammy award-winning AKG by HARMAN.
The first appearance of this collaboration is actually on the Galaxy Tab S3, as it has quad-stereo sound speakers tuned by AKG. Samsung promised that with these AKG-tuned quad-stereo speakers together with their vivid Super AMOLED display and the new S Pen, it will offer a whole new level of experience.
Gear VR with Controller
First off, these controllers are “powered” by Oculus. I’m not sure if they’re the ones who made them.
Samsung claims that the new Controller will provide a better VR experience as it has a touchpad for quicker selection and interaction, minimized movements for less fatigue, and a secure grip so that the Controller don’t just fly off your hands.
This new Gear VR features 42mm lenses with 101-degree field of view with advanced distortion correction to minimize motion sickness too. Other than that, the Gear VR now has a strap to hold the Controller when it is not in use.
The latest edition of the Samsung Gear VR is compatible with the Galaxy S7, S7 edge, Note5, S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge. Full specs down below.
