Diving is all about staying aware of what’s happening around you and beneath you, and Garmin’s new Descent X10 is built to make that easier. This dive computer puts depth, time, oxygen levels, and more right on your wrist, on an always-on 2.1-inch backlit display with high contrast and large text that stays easy to read whether you’re in harsh sunlight on the boat or in dimmer water below.

3 main modes- Scuba, Apnea, and Gauge are available to switch between so that the most relevant data sits front and center for whatever you’re doing. Rated for operations even at 10 ATM, the rechargeable battery gives you up to 50 hours of dive time and up to 6 months in standby.

After each dive, the Garmin Dive smartphone app automatically uploads your logs, lets you tag locations, and tracks your gear usage. Nervous about a new device? A built-in simulator pairs with the app so you can practice full dives before you get in the water. NDL Aware depth metrics show in real time how changing depth affects your no-decompression limit, helping you extend bottom time, and setup sharing lets you sync settings with other compatible Descent dive computers if you carry a backup.

Personalization comes in the form of replaceable bezel guards, sold separately, in colors of Amp Yellow, Aqua, Purple Iris, and Black. The included silicone band fits over a wetsuit, and optional QuickFit bands add more color choices. The housing and bezel are made entirely from recycled ocean-bound plastics, which suits a device built for the sea.

Dive shops and schools get a useful trick in the new rental mode, which sets each computer up to match a diver’s skill level and resets it quickly between uses. Colorful bezel guards also make it easier to keep track of rental inventory.

Officially launching on December 24, it is priced at RM1,549 for the Malaysian market, and once launched, you can find it on the official website, Shopee, Lazada, the AECO e-store, Garmin Brand Stores, and selected authorised retailers.
