It’s a good day here at Malaysia as ASUS officiates the presence of their new lineup of laptops to the market this quickly. I mean, Computex happened about 2 weeks ago – and ASUS is already bringing in these magical machines! Here’s ASUS’s The Edge of Beyond – where they bring in a total of five laptops – the ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe, Zenbook Flip S, ZenBook Pro, VivoBook Pro 15, and Vivobook S15.
We actually covered all of these laptops’ specs during our Computex 2017 coverage here, but there are some variation in specs as usual. Here are the official specs of these laptops that ASUS Malaysia has confirmed to be bringing in Malaysia.
There’s a common theme across all of these ASUS laptops too. The event is referred to as “The Edge of Beyond“, and that’s because all of these laptops launched have this new thing that ASUS is calling the NanoEdge display. They’re all with tiny bezels!
ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe
ASUS’s latest flagship laptop. This machine has the best of the best specs found on a single laptop, and ASUS is not holding back. It’s speedy with that 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD and a fantastic 84% screen-to-body ratio with 100% sRGB color space too. Coupled with that Intel Core i7-7500U processor, its battery life is expected to be surreal.

ASUS ZenBook Pro
The ZenBook Pro is a vastly different sibling compared to the ZenBook 3 Deluxe as it sports an entirely different set of specs. Comes with Fast Charge too, where ASUS claims it can reach 60% of battery in just 49 minutes of charge time.

Priced at RM7,299, the ASUS ZenBook Pro is actually an ultraportable that you can bring around everywhere to get work done while still be able to game on it – not at the best graphics quality, of course.
The ASUS ZenBook Pro will be available in the market starting from the beginning of August!
ASUS ZenBook Flip S
Ah, convertibles. I’m actually in deep love with these sort of devices for a long time – and now, ASUS has delivered one of these premium convertibles to the market. Here’s the brief list of specs.
- 13.3-inch 1080p laptop at only 10.9mm (world’s thinnest!),1.1kg
- Intel Core i7-7500U
- 8GB RAM, 512GB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD
- One-touch login with Windows Hello support

The ZenBook Flip S is priced at RM6,699, and again, this is the world’s thinnest convertible laptop as of now! Available starting from the beginning of August!
ASUS VivoBook Pro 15
The VivoBook Pro is more budget-oriented while still having the high-end specs. Of course, you do get some compromise like the weight and overall size of it.

- Intel Core i5 or i7 H-series processors; Up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050
- 4GB RAM, 512GB + 2TB HDD; Intel Optane memory

The ASUS VivoBook Pro 15 starts from RM4,799, and comes with 100% sRGB color gamut too. It does even support the ASUS Pen, but it’s not included with the laptop itself. It’ll be available starting from August.
ASUS VivoBook S15 (S510)
This is the more budget-oriented laptop that I can actually see myself picking one up. The ASUS VivoBook S15 comes in two different flavors, and it’ actually rather thin and light for its specs too.
They’re both at 17.9mm thin and weighs only 1.5kg, by the way.

Personally speaking, the i7 version is actually a good deal – just upgrade it to 8GB RAM and it’s good to take on the world. I mean, ultraportable laptop with that price and 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD? That’s a good deal!
The ASUS VivoBook S15 will be available starting from the beginning of July – which means in about two weeks, or the week after Raya holidays.
