Personally, I believe that external hard disks are very susceptible to damages especially when we’re throwing them all around with our bags. Sometimes, we even hit them on walls! That’s why I love the Apacer AC730 that we reviewed here – but they didn’t stop there. Now, Apacer announces the AC532 – an even smaller portable hard drive, but still shockproof.
Apacer claims that the AC532 the product of combining both slim shape and great protection design, making it a high price-to-performance choice for portable hard drives. The Apacer AC532 is equipped with an internal anti-vibration internal suspension structure that can withstand up to 1 meter drop height.
It has an anti-slip design on both sides too, making the Apacer AC532 easy to hold and even absorbing the force upon drops, bumps and other physical shocks that will compromise your data integrity.
This time around, Apacer gives a little more focus on aesthetics as it’s available in both jet black and glossy white colors. The front features a smooth mirror surface which shows its concise and neat style. On its two sides and back, however, are covered with a rough texture pattern. This is an anti-slip design as it definitely prevents it from accidental drops.
AC532 has passed a number of safety certifications such as CE, FCC, RCM and BSMI to ensure its safety and compatibility meet the international standards. With the sturdy USB Type-A female connector, It can bear more than 10,000 times plug-ins and unplugging, providing another safety guarantee for users.
The Apacer AC532 comes in two capacities – in 1TB or 2TB.
