Let’s trace back about a decade ago. That was when Cooler Master dominated the market with two cases – the CM 690 and also the COSMOS series. Over the years, Cooler Master hasn’t really been focused on these two cases – but that all changed during this year’s Computex. The COSMOS is getting an update – and it’s called the COSMOS C700P.

So let’s see – it’s the year 2017 now, so RGB is important. Check. As for the COMSOS’s iconic design – the aluminium handlebars – are still retained. Good. There are a lot of other features that are either retained from the iconic COSMOS II and improved upon, too.

One of the pillars of the MasterConcept is flexibility. A builder should be able to have their components organized and placed the way he/she wants. Inside the COSMOS C700P, this key element of the MasterConcept can be seen in innovations such as the rotating and removable motherboard tray. Turn the tray to create a chimney effect; put your graphics card in a vertical position to optimize the natural airflow inside the chassis, allowing warm air to move upwards with less interference and escape from the top.

Of course, that means you can invert the motherboard layout too. While the motherboard tray is fully removed from the frame, why not install all the parts outside?

COSMOS C700P

That’s not all – the new COSMOS C700P has curved tempered glass side panels. Cooler Master claims that they’re the only one in the market with curved tempered glasses. With tempered glasses mean that your cable management game will have to be on point – but luckily for you, Cooler Master included covers to hide everything. There are panels to hide your cables, hard disks, and PSU – although you can mount SSDs on top of the PSU cover to show off, if you choose to. 😉

Then there’s RGB lighting. Cooler Master is keeping it classy by having the RGB lines carved and recessed, offering a subtle light experience on the 4 handlebars. Once connected to an RGB-compatible motherboard, the lights can be synced all around too, of course.

As for the I/O panel, the COSMOS C700P comes with USB 3.1 Gen. 2 Type-C port too.

For the price of RM1,349 – this is the case that I can’t put a price on. It’s nostalgic.
