A while ago, Cooler Master made the original announcement of the MasterBox Lite 5 – a fairly decent-looking mid-tower case with acrylic side and front panels. Of course, it’s 2017 (near the end, too) and RGB is bae – so Cooler Master announced another variant of that case – the MasterBox Lite 5 RGB.
Pretty much everything is the same with the original MasterBox Lite 5, actually. It still has that 3 different trim colors – black, white, and red – and still has an acrylic front panel and another edge-to-edge 4mm-thick tempered glass side panel too. With that said the new addition here is RGB.
This time around, Cooler Master included a total of 3x 120mm RGB fans at the front for you to show off once you unboxed and installed everything in it. However, do take note that there is no RGB controller included with the purchase – so make sure you have a motherboard with RGB headers or use your own RGB controller to sync it all up.
Cooler Master is also generous enough to include a 1-to-3 RGB splitter cable so you can connect the included 3x 120mm RGB fans together with just one RGB header on your motherboard.
Speaking of fans, there are a total of 4 fans included with the MasterBox Lite 5 RGB – three aforementioned 120mm RGB fans at the front, and another black 120mm at the back.
The price of this gorgeous MasterBox Lite 5 RGB is priced at RM299, which is actually pretty good for what it offers. Comes with a PSU shroud to hide all the ugliness, too. With interchangeable trim pieces and even 3D printed ones, I can see that the MasterBox Lite 5 RGB can indeed be a special case for those who are starting with case mods. After all, Cooler Master’s “Master” series of products are meant for the community that does crazy things that amaze the world, anyway.
