ASUS just launched the brand new ZenFone Max Plus M1 today – and we’re pretty much on point with our predictions here. It’s the brand new addition to the Max series of smartphones, namely the first ever ZenFone Max, ZenFone 3 Max 5.2-inch, ZenFone 3 Max 5.5-inch, and also the ZenFone 4 Max Pro. As time goes by, so does technology. And here you have the new ZenFone Max Plus M1 featuring the latest marketing hype – the 18:9 FullView display.
It’s no surprise that everyone’s following Samsung’s approach to longer screens since the release of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ we reviewed here earlier this year. Vivo did it with their V7+. Huawei did it with their Nova 2i. OPPO did it with their F5. Now, it’s ASUS’s turn to do it – but with their Max series so that you can get more battery life.

If you have already seen my reviews of the ZenFone Max series of smartphones, I’ve always complained the fact that ASUS used combo SIM2/microSD card slots instead of having dedicated slots. Well, they’ve taken heed of this repeated complaint and implemented it to the ZenFone 4 Max Pro, and now on the ZenFone Max Plus M1 too!
Of course, we’re all wondering about one thing – the price of the ZenFone Max Plus M1. The Vivo V7 has similar specs and that’s priced at RM1,299. ASUS however, prices the ZenFone Max Plus M1 at just RM899. That’s a great price!
If you pre-order now (from 14th to 19th December), you get RM200 off with a Trade-In Rebate! Terms and conditions apply – but from what I’ve heard, ASUS accepts trade-ins with non-working phones too. 😉
