Let’s just say that yesterday was quite like a double treat from Samsung with all the news blasting around the Internet.

First off, Samsung’s next Galaxy Note III flagship phone is already rumoured to be in field-test – with three separate designs, maybe one with a better build quality, or maybe another with a flexible display, as HTC made Samsung to worry about the build quality of their phones.

They might be testing different combinations of build materials here, or maybe just seeking for the most cost-effective. In either way though, the purely plastic-made Galaxy flagship phone might have light shed on it after all and I just hope that they’ll have enough time to manufacture all the materials in time, not like the tragedy that doomed the Galaxy S IV.

Then onwards with another news related to the Galaxy Note III is the specs that are rumoured, as source claimed that the upcoming flagship phone will feature a humongous 5.99-inch display, Samsung’s very own Exynos 5 Octa processor that is running on 2.0GHz and also a generous 3GB RAM.

Samsung rumoured to be testing three Galaxy Note III designs, TecTiles incompatible with Galaxy S IV 3

In another news, Samsung’s very own NFC sticker called TecTiles isn’t compatible with the new Galaxy S IV. You might wonder why and the answer is : Samsung actually shot themselves on the feet.

As NFC is standardized across devices, peripherals and whatnot, its predecessor, the Galaxy S III did not follow the standard, making their TecTiles a proprietary sticker. However, Samsung said the new TecTiles 2 will be available soon to fix everything.

Samsung also offered a official statement to AnandTech, saying :

“Samsung is introducing TecTile 2, an update to the original TecTile NFC programmable tags, which will be available in the coming weeks. TecTile 2 will use the current NFC technology on the market, allowing Samsung customers to further incorporate NFC into their daily lives and to use with the latest Samsung Mobile products and services, including the Galaxy S 4. As industry standards continue to evolve, Samsung remains committed to meeting those standards and adapting its technologies if necessary. Samsung customers can also fully utilize TecTiles 2 with existing Samsung Mobile NFC-enabled Android smartphones currently in market.”

A little more news is that these TecTiles – specifically recently manufactured ones – actually works with the Galaxy S IV, so make sure you check it first before buying any more TecTiles!

  1. No company dieolcsss this information before they are sure about exact release date and it’s usually not earlier than 2 months before it will be available in stores. I don’t know about Blackberry and HTC but I found good info about Samsung Galaxy S3 release date and you can find it below.
