The folks over at Samsung Malaysia really welcomed the Galaxy Note10 series of smartphones with grandeur as its official launching was just held at St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, and the massive ballroom was decked out with screens on 3 sides.
Obviously, we have to take this opportunity to shoot a picture with the Galaxy S10+ using the ultrawide angle camera, which is also found on the Galaxy Note10 series of smartphones. Once again, this is the widest ultrawide angle camera for any smartphone, measuring in at 123°
The grand launch recaps all that we already know since the grand launch and demonstrated some other features as well. I think this time around, the demonstrations are the most important since there are many AR features that just don’t translate well through texts or words.
If you know is AR doodling, then technically it’s the phone mapping whatever it is looking at in 3D space, then you can draw in 3D space. This video demonstrates the feature.
We also wanted to try the 3D object scanning as shown during the UNPACKED event a week ago – but unfortunately, that is under Bixby Vision and requires us to login to the Samsung account. Since this is a demo unit, we are unable to do that. However, we are looking forward to getting our hands on the review unit and testing that out ourselves.
Another discovery we made about the Galaxy Note10 series is the little slit up above the Infinity-O notch. There is a supremely tiny slit there – which our camera can’t really pick up. That is where the earpiece is hidden. That slit is so small that I can’t even feel it with my fingers!
We also have the opportunity to take this picture. The Galaxy Note10+ in Aura Glow and Aura Black are on the left, while the Galaxy Note10 in Aura White and Aura Pink are on the right. You can see me in some of the reflections on the phone.
Of course, as an update – all pre-orders have been sold out and have to wait for the next batch. The next batch will presumably be the roadshow.
