It’s the first day of Gamescom 2019 and both Dell and Alienware are showcasing their brand new products which will be coming to the market in the coming months. One thing that I realize is happening to Dell in general is the segregation of high-end gaming products under the Alienware brand (as usual) and Dell Gaming series is meant for more budget-oriented gaming gears.
Of course, knowing Alienware, the products announced today is not some generic product. We first saw it in Computex 2019 but had an NDA – but it’s officially announced at Gamescom. Alienware claims that it is “born from the ethos of purposeful innovation” and it looks absolutely fantastic.
This tiny little desktop tower is able to pack in an Intel 9th Gen Core Processors and NVIDIA GeForce GPU. More information on this desktop to come in the near future.
New Dell G5 desktop
Introducing Dell’s first Dell Gaming desktop – the G5. This desktop can pack up to an Intel Core i9 K-Series CPU with either both NVIDIA RTX or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU. If you ever want to expand or upgrade your storage, Dell has built in some tool-less mechanisms for you to pop your storage drives in and out easily.
The Dell G5 optimizes airflow and provides four thermal mode options that can be set in the Alienware Command Center. Since it is indeed a gaming desktop, it also has an optional blue LED lighting and optional clear window side panel.
