The coronavirus is really spreading and it is affecting China the most. Many factories and offices are closing down to mitigate the spread of the virus, too. As factories close down, that means the production of tech gadgets will be affected as well. While the general consensus tells us that the prices of electronics will rise, Xiaomi Malaysia decided to lower their prices of some products instead.
We’re not sure what Xiaomi Malaysia is doing this – perhaps to tell customers that we don’t have to worry? Or maybe just because that this is a good time to upgrade our phones so that we can communicate with our loved ones without lag.
China is the one country that manufactures most of the products that we use daily, ranging from tech to clothes and also plastic goods.
With that in mind, Xiaomi has also offered help and resources to the affected area in China. Xiaomi doesn’t want to raise the prices of their products, so they already absorbed all of the extra unexpected cost. And now, they’re also lowering the prices of some hot-selling smartphones.
The list of new prices that we have now is surprisingly enticing too – especially for the new Mi Note 10 that we reviewed recently. Some deals from Xiaomi is even crazier – you can literally buy one smartphone and get another one for free!

It’s common to see brands donate to charities to help with such situations, but it is uncommon to see brands to pay forward by absorbing the extra cost, and then slashing the price too.
Xiaomi is doing something unprecedented for such situation. A round of applause for such a commendable act!
