It’s quite insane. During the Malaysian grand launching of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series last week, it was first announced that the roadshow deal is kinda crazy. Early birds can get a 50-inch 4K smart TV (worth RM2,599) for free!
With such a great deal, there were many people who went and queue up early. And I mean way too early. Colin Chong, the guy who actually went to Mid Valley Megamall on 5th March at 8am – more than a day earlier than the roadshow day. He then went back and returned at 4pm on the same day to start queuing.
Congratulations to Colin for being the first in line for the Galaxy S20 series roadshow! Your effort is very commendable.
But that’s not all. There were also many other gung ho people who queued up before 10pm. At around midnight, the line has surpassed 200 people. One of our readers shared this picture with us and the queue quickly grew over a few short hours.
I mean, it’s no surprise. Samsung upped the ante by first creating an ultra flagship smartphone that surpasses all other smartphones that are in the market today, and also sweetened up the deal with a free 50-inch 4K smart TV for the early birds.
We’ve already reviewed the Galaxy S20 Ultra and called it a showcase of Samsung’s engineering prowess. It’s an overkill for a smartphone and you can buy it for just RM4,999.
It has long battery life, great cameras, and also a smooth 120Hz display.
Even the base model Galaxy S20 is a direct replacement of the Galaxy S10+ as it has a much better camera module, better specs overall, 4,000mAh battery, and the same 120Hz display like the Ultra brethren. Just that the Galaxy 20 has a smaller display, though.
We have also reviewed the Galaxy Buds+ and I’m very impressed by the new ambient mode and the supremely long-lasting battery life. The sound quality is also highly tuneable, so take your time and mess around with the EQ.
