Lenovo has a gaming division for its PC side of things for a number of years now. To see Lenovo expanding into the gaming smartphone market is not surprising, considering that they do own acquire Motorola’s smartphone division. Reported by XDA Developers, this might be the new Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone.

XDA Developers got a bunch of unreleased teaser videos that detailed the upcoming Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone, whereby some of those teaser videos confirmed its specs.

Over the course of the last few months, Lenovo Legion started posting a lot of teasers for their upcoming smartphones. It is likely to have 144Hz refresh rate display, 90Hz fast charging, and also a bizarre side pop-up camera. Like many other gaming smartphones, there is a secondary USB-C port at the side too.

Of course, the most bizarre here is the side popup camera. There are many other smartphone brands that are moving away from popup selfie camera nowadays but Lenovo seems to be further innovating to create this side-mounted popup camera.

Perhaps Lenovo wants to cater the Legion gaming phone for streamers – hence the side popup camera. We can play games in landscape mode while the selfie camera is unobstructed. Also, no notch!
