Back in the year 2018, a brand new phone came into the market and killed all the smartphones that played around only with the specs sheet. Packing the latest and greatest hardware and tagged with a low price, the Pocophone F1 is a runaway success. But then the brand went into a hiatus – until now. Introducing, the new Poco F2 Pro.
As it is still a specs-focused smartphone, let’s start with the specs.

Alright, looking at the specs itself – yes, the Poco F2 Pro is technically the same as the Redmi K30 Pro with a different name. If you’re familiar with what the Redmi K30 Pro has to offer, then there’s nothing new here – perhaps other than the price.
The Poco F2 Pro will be available in two different variants:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage @ €499
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage @ €599
From what we can see, it will be available in Malaysia soon, as it is shown and mentioned that it will be on Lazada and Shopee too.
UPDATE: The Malaysian price starts at RM2,199!
It’s quite unexpected for the Poco F2 Pro price to be this low. But hey – they showed me that I’m wrong. Starting 10th June, you can buy the new Poco F2 Pro in two different configurations. The price gap might seem huge, but that’s because of the LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.0/UFS 3.1 storage chips having such a big gap in technology.

Just when I thought Poco had won this time when competing with another brand that’s selling last-gen specs with a gimmicky zoom, Poco double-taps on its rival’s head with this announcement.
