Huawei Malaysia just announced the arrival and price of the new Huawei MatePad Pro 5G – which is technically the same as the Huawei MatePad Pro that was launched a few months back but with a SIM card slot that supports 5G. It’ll be priced at RM3,299 and Huawei is including a bunch of gifts to celebrate its launch.
The new Huawei MatePad Pro 5G packs the same HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G chipset that is found in the P40 series of smartphones – and it supports both NSA and SA architectures. There’s no 4G variant of the Huawei MatePad Pro.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 5G will be available in Malaysia starting from the 26th June 2020, and will only be available in Forest Green color, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The price is at RM3,299, and you also get these gifts:

For customers who wish to get the Smart Magnetic Keyboard, it is priced at RM499 with free Huawei M-Pencil worth RM299. We highly recommend getting the magnetic keyboard case because it’s a good keyboard and I still feel like it’s an integral part of the entire keyboard experience.
Moreover, the thin bezels around the tablet make it impossible to be held with one hand without touching the screen.
We’ve been using the Huawei MatePad Pro for a long time and published the review here – and the tablet has been serving us quite well. It’s using Huawei Mobile Services, which means we definitely need to adapt to a “new normal” if you’re picking up the Huawei MatePad Pro.
Netflix does work, but please remember to update it to the latest EMUI 11. Downloading the Netflix APK might be a little tricky, especially if you’re not familiar with 3rd party app stores.
By the way, there’s also the Huawei AppGallery Carnival going on now with prizes totaling up to RM 2 million to be won. Learn more here.
