Introducing the brand new ASUS ROG Phone 3. It comes with quite a number of upgrades and new features compared to its predecessors. We did get our hands on a pre-production unit – which we weren’t allowed to photograph even – but we can share our experience with you.
So in this video, we’re going to run through all the new things that came with the ROG Phone 3 and what’s worth highlighting.
It feels pretty much the same as before physically, but it looks similar to before yet it has a few aesthetics differences.
One major difference in this new ROG Phone 3 series is the official recognition of the STRIX edition, which was known as the Tencent edition last year in the ROG Phone 2 family last year. This new STRIX edition also comes with a slightly different look and also slightly different specs.
The ROG Phone 3 is the world’s first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 865+ chipset, which is also a cherry-picked and overclocked to 3.1GHz! The STRIX edition, however, is using the Snapdragon 865 chipset only – which is still plentiful, actually.
