Dell has announced a new software-based solution to help its clients to achieve greater productivity through smart user adaptation and optimization, the Dell Optimizer.
The Dell Optimizer enhances the user experience by automatically taking care of some of that nitty-gritty stuff so that users can fully focus on what they are doing. The Intelligent Audio eliminates background and non-human sound cues while amplifies your speech level to deliver a crisp and clear voice during conferences and ExpressConnect prioritizes bandwidths for conference and call applications and smartly switches to trusted Wi-Fi networks with better quality to serve an undisrupted and high-quality network conference session.
Performance-wise, the ExpressResponse developed in conjunction with Intel Adaptix Technology learns your way of using applications and improvise upon the power to performance curve by smartly adjusting the number of resources these targeted applications can access with the power sector in charge by ExpressCharge that manages screen brightness, CPU clocks, and other settings to make sure every tick of power counts.
Meanwhile, ExpressSign-In is essentially a properly packaged Windows Hello sign-in system that detects your presence even while sleeping so that it wakes itself up and immediately sign you in through the webcam or vice versa, locking up the system when you move away from the device.
If Dell makes the new Dell Optimizer working in tandem with the Dell power manager software, then those power profile settings will persist within machines across multiple versions or copies of OS.
Availability
The first 3 devices that support the Dell Optimizer will be the Latitude 9510 and Precision 5750 laptops as well as the OptiPlex 7080 desktop unit with a possibility of newer models down the line getting it natively integrated as well. However, the bad news is that some models are not getting any support right off the bat such as OptiPlex 3000s, 7070 Ultra, Latitude 3310, and Latitude Chromebook Enterprise. So, be sure to take note of the availability of this feature when purchasing your next work device.
