Dell has announced a new line of standard Latitude laptops and mobile workstation Precision notebook to aid remote workers and mobile professionals to stay productive during the ongoing pandemic season.
Starting off the list is the mobile powerhouse Precision 3560 who is sporting a new design inside and out. The latest Intel 11th Gen mobile processors of up to i7-1185G7 with Iris Xe GPU or an optional NVIDIA Quadro T500 paired with a maximum of 64GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM crunches through both 2D and 3D workloads such as CADs with ease while keeping the overall user experience top-notch with the new Pro2 keyboard and large trackpad.
The screen can be upgraded to a UHD panel that displays 100% sRGB and 400 nits of brightness to support both color heavy tasks and entertainment consumption. For storage, the maximum capacity it can handle is 2TB of either PCIe Gen 3 or Gen 4. Be noted that if opted in for the dedicated Quadro GPU, you won’t be able to fit a dual-storage configuration for certain setups.
The connectivity and inputs defaulted to all the good stuff as usual: Intel Wi-Fi 6, two Thunderbolt 4, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet, microSD card reader with optional smart card and fingerprint readers while the battery is either a 42Whr or 62Whr with ExpressCharge enabled. Some of them are mix-and-matchable depending on your needs as well.
Next up, the Latitude 5000 series returns with a slightly tighter fit to its overall design while bumping up the internals for more demanding workloads and accessibility. As a matter of fact, it is also the first of its kind to use reclaimed carbon fiber and bioplastics to mold the laptop lit to help the environment by reducing carbon and water footprint in the entire manufacturing process.
