Edifier has released a couple of stereo speakers that will surely amp up your home multimedia experience, whether through wired or wireless audio.
First off is the R2850DB that aims for an all-rounder performance with 0.75-inch tweeter handling high range, 4-inch driver working the mid-range, and 8-inch subwoofer packing deep basses. Adding the electronic crossover is also installed all frequencies are delivered in isolation for a distinctive hearing experience.
Meanwhile, the dedicated DSP purely processes digital signals and sounds are amplified by the Class-D amplifier. Finishing up the speaker is an MDF wood built material that provides sturdiness and ample space for producing bass. The list of supported inputs include Line in, Optical, Coaxial, and Bluetooth 5.1 with Qualcomm aptX, and a wireless remote is there to let you change tracks over a distance.
Another one of the announced duos is the R1700BTs. Stepping up from the previous generation, now it packs Bluetooth 5.0 with Qualcomm aptX for high fidelity audio both wirelessly and wired. Suitable to be hooked up with multiple sources such as consoles, PCs and TVs, the DSP and DRC component prevents distortion while 19mm tweeters positioned in a 10-degree angle makes dormant sounds listenable with ease. Similar to the R2850DB, it also has a remote control or if you want to, connect your smartphone to stream music while taking full control of it. The treble, bass, and volume knobs are situated as the side even for clutch corner access.
I’ve been using the R1700BT for about 3 years right now – and I have to say, the sound quality was already great at first but it actually got better as time goes by. Currently, the R1700BT is in the office – and I just blast music from that speaker while filming.
