Fitbit has officially revealed the kids exclusive smart band Ace 3 and now everyone in the house can be part of the smart fitness lifestyle gang.
Let’s talk about function first as it is why most people buy them in the first place. It wasn’t that far apart from what an adult edition has to offer but it has many more additional things that are designed to help motivate kids to develop a healthy lifestyle from a very young age. For starters, it’ll remind them to be moving around at least 1 hour per day with a minimum of 250 steps per hour (adjustable according to circumstances) or follow a personalized goal of their own.
Fitted with a bright touchscreen, it does what most smart band does best. Sleep tracking, bedtime reminders, activity levels and such. But we all know kids are mostly attracted to flashy stuffs so there are more than 20 clockfaces to choose from such as bunnies, cat, martians and spaceships, all animated. What’s more, Fitbit will be pushing a new update and physical items in the future that features the small yellow guy with big glasses and blue overalls – Minions. That’s gotta be the one thing to make your kids fall in love with smart bands.
Controlling the privacy boundaries of your kid has never been easier through the Fitbit Family app with Parent View showing their activities while approving friend requests while Kid View displays more relevant infos such as tracked stats. The app is also cross-platform compatible across Android and iOS devices and to encourage family interaction, virtual trophies and badges can be enabled to celebrate each milestone the kids have achieved.
Available in colors of Black + Sport Red or Cosmic Blue + Astro Green palettes, the Ace 3 can last for about a week or more averagely. Well, that’s pretty sustainable to run down a single week of weekdays without any charging.
