OPPO Malaysia just launched the Z variant of the Reno8 family of smartphones together with the latest budget TWS which is the Enco Buds2.
Under normal circumstances, the Z member of a given Reno series smartphone is positioned as the most budget option as OPPO is maintaining the photography while molding nerfing everything else to make it a more affordable device for those who don’t really need a powerful smartphone.
But the Reno8 Z 5G is weirdly similar to the Reno7 Z, at least on paper. So if you already owned the latter, then upgrading to this is literally a no-brainer of saying No.
But it is still okay for a new purchase though.
- 6.43-inch AMOLED Display
- 1080p Resolution
- Top Left Punch Hole Notch
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G Chipset
- 8GB RAM
- 256GB Storage
- Triple Rear Camera
- Main: 64MP f/1.7 with PDAF
- Macro: 2MP f/2.4
- Depth Sensor
- 16MP Selfie Camera
- 4,500mAh Battery
- 33W Fast Charge
- Reverse Charge
- Starlight Black, Dawnlight Gold Colors
On the other hand, the Enco Buds2 is still carrying the “decent audio quality with average software support” image as the 10mm titanized driver and Enco Live feature provide a good chunk of audio output range to make sure you can listen to the details on the cheap. And that’s all you get though as the fancier functions and “convenient” things are exclusive to the expensive ones.
Price and Availability
The OPPO Reno8 Z 5G is priced at RM1,799 while the Enco Buds2 is at RM 140 and both of them are available for purchase on OPPO’s official online store alongside offline retailers and brand shops as well.
Available only for today, all purchases of the smartphone will get freebies worth up to RM997, including a free TWS and various rewards within the MyOPPO app.
