While the ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16 might catch a lot of attention from the crowd, the Zenbook family is taking its heads up by previewing three new models at CES 2023.
Let’s start off with the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED that received tri-exclusive optimizations to its internal design. For the first time, ASUS’s new Supernova System-on-Module (SoM) design consolidates all essential components into a single module to bring them closer than ever, resulting in 38% less occupied motherboard space, bringing several benefits including better cooling efficiency and more compact form factor.
The laptop will also replace the traditional thermal paste with liquid metal to allow better thermal control and headroom in high-performing CPUs unleashing stronger performance. It also runs LPDDR5X RAM for that matter which uses less power while providing adequate speeds for reading and writing data.
We also see the return of the Active Aerodynamic System Ultra (AAS Ultra) mechanism that debuted in the Zenbook 16 Pro Duo last year that essentially bumps the second screen (which in the case of non-Duo models, is the keyboard) to create air vents for better airflow and heat dissipation. With the in-house designed 3D Curved Vapor Chamber, expect great temperature readings or superior performance out of this machine.
The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED will contain these properties.

Meanwhile, the Zenbook 14X OLED takes on the fashion route because it looks completely different from the rest of the lineup thanks to ASUS giving it a new Plasma Ceramization Coating (P.E.O) finish in Inkwell Gray or Sandstone Beige colors that produces a durable texture that is fingerprint-resistant, tough shell with a hardness grade of 8H, and being eco-friendly.
General computing components have also been improved across the board although not all parts are the latest generation.
