Xiaomi Malaysia is currently running a roadshow over at Sunway Pyramid and invited us yesterday to see the launch of several new items for the local market.
First, we have the TV A Series, uhm, TVs. For the initial launch, we have 1 base model of 55-inch and 2 Pro models of 43-inch and 55-inch. But we’ll focus on the Pro models for the moment.
They are rocking 4K QLED panels that offer excellent color accuracy and 4K HDR capabilities. Graded through the DCI-P3 color gamut widely used by cinematography and kino-related industries, it offers wide coverage to help bring more life and immersion into anything you watch.
The TVs also come with motion smoothing technology to make fast action content like sports and movies clearer even with all things flying around. Lastly, the internal audio system is compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS:X, and delivers powerful sound for an immersive viewing experience.
Next, the new smart wearable is the Smart Band 9 which is more or less the same as prior generations at least in terms of looks. But they’ve improved other things such as better heart rate monitoring accuracy of up to 16%, reliable all-day heart and SpO₂ tracking, as well as 7-day resting heart rate monitoring.
Aside from the usual fitness and sleep tracking, the 233mAh battery-powered device can run up to 21 days off a single charge and hosts a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with 50% higher peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits.
As usual, it packs more than 150 sports modes with 10 on-wrist running courses and metrics to further benefit dedicated training courses with the most optimized routine and performance mapping.
In terms of colors, It comes in 1 of 4 available options namely the Glacier Silver, Midnight Black, Arctic Blue, and Mystic Rose all with a frosted aluminum alloy frame.
Lastly, Xiaomi is one step closer to being full-on serious about selling some gaming gear that led to the release of the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i.
The 1152-zone Mini LED provides a high contrast ratio and accurate lighting control to match the HDR1000 specifications. The 180Hz/1ms combo is more than enough for the price range it is aiming for as well as the FreeSync support and 99% DCI-P3 color gamut.
The RGB ambient light is also present to give you more light bleed across your room. To help alleviate some of that extended gaming risk, the TÜV Low Blue Light Certification guarantees your eyes won’t hurt as much.
And look at that – pivotable and adjustable stand?? Folks, you know what to do.
