For those who are familiar with tech news and trends within the smartphone space know about POCO. Specially known for their “flagship killer” status offered by Xiaomi under a different branding, those were the good days.
But good days gotta end, so here’s an advance notice from POCO Global regarding the closure of its website.
The notice was published last Wednesday, detailing that there will be no standalone websites for POCO and associated products starting December 31 of this year so in a practical sense, the site will effectively vanish for 2025 and beyond.
Hold up, no need to panic because they will be relocated to the main Xiaomi Global website for a cleaner and centralized portfolio for unified communications under a single domain.
Xiaomi also assures customers will still have access to customer service, after-sales support, and warranty services through Xiaomi’s support channels.
Not only the website’s gone but also the POCO Store app sitting inside POCO smartphones will be closed down. Therefore, any personal data submitted or gathered from POCO sites will not be retained and users are advised to download and move them into Xiaomi accounts.
