TCL Malaysia has announced the new 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G smartphone for the local market.
The device aims to bring the latest iteration, the NXTPAPER 3.0 technology to the masses without breaking the bank. To start, this new version is now even better at reducing blue light emission while cutting down glare for a comfortable viewing experience. It is proven through the numerous certifications of TÜV, SGS, and Eyesafe.
For easier access to its most unique function, they essentially added a new toggle slider on the right side. Flicking it will immediately transform the screen into the iconic Max Ink Mode for an e-ink experience that also drastically enhances its battery life, offering unprecedented uptime for binge reading.
There is also a bit of customization that you can do with the NXTPAPER Key in case you wanna tune it to your preference.
It also has various smart functions such as auto color temperature control, Night Light Mode notification, and that’s not counting the AI-assisted features including Text Assistant that can help you make up replies and any text-based content.
Other than that, the phone itself is actually not bad for its price point. Of course you can’t expect glass back this, aluminum frame that, and all those premium stuff but looking from the other side, it is actually light and comfortable to hold, further emphasizing its KSP as a “god tool for e-reading”.
