Garmin Malaysia has introduced the latest Descent X50i, boasting a vivid 3-inch color touchscreen as the brand’s largest dive computer yet.
As mentioned above, the new Descent X50i features a 3-inch color touchscreen for easy data reading, simple setup, and intuitive navigation of maps and settings. Designed for technical dives, it packs a durable sapphire lens, leakproof metal buttons, and a bright backup dive light for underwater use. The dual elastic wristbands with arrowhead buckles also ensure a secure and adjustable fit.
With SubWave sonar technology, users can communicate, and monitor tank pressure, depth, and distance, enhancing safety in low-visibility conditions. The device is built for extreme conditions with a 20 ATM dive rating and robust waterproofing.
Furthermore, after finishing a dive, users can review logs, track gear, take notes, and share details through the Garmin Dive app, while the included carrying case offers safe storage for the Descent X50i between dives. Plus, the built-in GPS provides access to over 4,000 preloaded dive sites worldwide.
Users can also add custom details like points of interest with DiveView maps, which extend the TopoActive maps. Surface GPS further assists by marking entry and exit points using advanced satellite connectivity.
