AKASO Malaysia has officially rolled out its new EK7000 action camera, built to give creators, travelers, and thrill-seekers an easy way to shoot great-looking 4K footage without spending a ton.
THE EK7000 shoots at 4K30FPS for videos and 20MP for still images, amplified by Electronic Image Stabilization to keep footage smooth even when you’re bouncing around in the middle of an adventure. The super wide-angle lens helps pull in sweeping landscapes, fast-moving sports shots, or immersive travel scenes, giving everything a more cinematic feel.
With the included case, the EK7000 is strong enough to go down to 131 feet underwater, so it’s set for snorkeling trips or casual dives. You can also control it using a remote or the companion app, which makes framing and managing footage on the go a lot easier. And if you’re looking to improve audio, AKASO added support for an external mic, which is a big win for vloggers or anyone who wants cleaner sound.
The camera comes packed with shooting options like time-lapse, loop recording, bursts, and a handful of resolution choices ranging from 4K30 to 720p120, letting you pick between quality, smoothness, or smaller file sizes. Powering everything is a 1050mAh battery that gets you up to 90 minutes of 4K recording, plus the MOV and JPG formats make it straightforward to drop footage into just about any editor.
AKASO also designed the EK7000 for a global audience, offering menu support in multiple languages from English and French to Thai, Vietnamese, and more. And since it ships with a full accessory bundle – including mounts, clips, tethers, handlebar attachments, and a waterproof housing – most people can start shooting straight out of the box.
Price and Availability
The AKASO EK7000 is priced at RM299 and can be purchased on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.
