Kids-focused tech brand myFirst has been available in Malaysia since March with its line of tailored products, but this time, they are expanding their presence by launching 2 new stores situated inside popular locations.
The new locations are Sunway Pyramid and IOI City Mall, and they are not only trying to sell products off shelves, but rather creating an interactive playground where families can actually experience their ecosystem of kids’ tech firsthand – think hands-on, exploratory, and very family-oriented rather than your usual electronics shop vibe.
They do this via themed zones, one of which is the “Connect” area, where the smartwatch lineup and app ecosystem are demonstrated, while the “Capture” section is about instant print cameras for kids. Meanwhile, “Create” zone dabbles around 3D pen for making stuff, and “Care” section leans into wellness tech such as kids-focused audio gear with transparency features so kids can still stay aware of their surroundings.
To mark the launch, they’re also running a three-day opening event from May 1 to 3 with promos and activities as follows:
- Complimentary myFirst Fone M1 and two refill packs for the first 20 customers purchasing myFirst Insta Lux
- 15% off all myFirst products from 11:30am onwards
- Lucky draw entries with every purchase above RM199
- Complimentary Häagen-Dazs ice cream vouchers for the first 100 shoppers at Sunway Pyramid store
- Opening day ribbon-cutting ceremony and lion dance performance
