Among the various categories of Biwin products, its Amber series is shaped to tackle the needs of creators or anyone who’s constantly on the go.
The portable SSD section was led by the Amber PR2000, PX4000, and PM2000. While all three focus on high-speed external storage, each targets a slightly different audience. The PM2000 stood out thanks to its magnetic design, making it an obvious companion for smartphone creators who want direct ProRes recording without carrying bulky accessories.
Speeds are nothing to scoff at, too – PR2000 and PM2000 get 2,000MB/s and 1,800MB/s, while the PX4000 takes it up to 3,900MB/s and 3,700MB/s, respectively.
Need something that’s more akin to a flash drive? Then the Amber UV200 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive serves as the everyday portable storage option, churning out a modest 200MB/s read and 90MB/s write.
Fellow Nintendo Switch 2 users may now have another option when purchasing microSD Express cards, as Biwin’s Amber ME300 provides up to 900MB/s read and 800MB/s write speeds, while maintaining UHS-I backwards compatibility.
For the CFexpress segment, the RA410 and RB510 are dedicated readers for the Type A and Type B cards, while the storage themselves are called CA400 CFexpress Type A and CB500 CFexpress Type B cards.
The CB500 is the flagship kid here, as the PCIe 4.0 connectivity allows up to 3,750MB/s read speed, making 8K and 12K RAW video capture possible.
Overall, with Biwin’s Amber series, customers can feel confident that their data is well protected on the go, and the top-specced performance leads to better productivity across the board.
