CelcomDigi has officially announced that its latest Advanced Intelligent Warehouse in Shah Alam is now operational – establishing Malaysia’s first industrial business-to-business live use case powered entirely by a 5G Standalone network.

CelcomDigi launches Malaysia's first 5G Standalone intelligent warehouse use case 1

The automated logistics facility serves as a live operational demonstration of how high-speed, low-latency connectivity links artificial intelligence, robotics, and digital twin systems to optimize supply chain infrastructure at scale. Early operational metrics from the integration show a 30% increase in physical space utilization, an efficiency boost exceeding 50% across material handling tracks, and inventory precision tracking reaching up to 100%.

Supported by a grant under the Bengkel Inovasi GLC program via the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and Cradle Fund, the site functions as an open innovation lab where corporate enterprises can test and deploy localized machine-learning applications.

The technical architecture orchestrates 6 dedicated logistics solutions across the 5G-SA network, anchored by a centralized Warehouse Management System to handle real-time inventory visibility.

Heavy cargo movement relies on an Autonomous Pallet Shuttle System to maximize vertical storage density alongside 5G-powered Automated Guided Vehicles that navigate the floor paths to replace manual hauling. Operational security and workplace accident mitigation use an AI-powered Visual Surveillance System from Ailytics to detect collision risks or safety violations in real time, paired with an AI Autonomous Drone System to automate overhead stock-taking and cyclical inventory counting. This entire physical layer mirrors into the Digital Nebula Platform, a real-time digital twin solution that aggregates active data streams to generate predictive workflows and data-driven operational insights.

The ecosystem was developed through engineering collaborations with specialized technology partners, including Move Robotics, Infinium Robotics, Ailytics, Cobra Security Electronics, and ZTE.
