Tesla Malaysia is giving Malaysians their first public look at the Cybercab, with the company bringing its driverless two-seater to Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang as part of a limited-time nationwide tour.Tesla Cybercab heads on nationwide tour across Malaysia 1

Starting just yesterday at Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur, visitors can get up close with Tesla’s Robotaxi-focused vehicle and learn more about the technology behind its autonomous driving capabilities.

The Cybercab features connectivity between the vehicle and Tesla app, Full Self-Driving capabilities and hardware, personalised driver or passenger profiles, over-the-air software updates, and connectivity features.

Just from looks alone, the vehicle is sort of weird – No side mirrors, steering wheel, or pedals, so it’s kinda questionable at first glance. But it’s a passenger-focused product, and you don’t need an actual driver, so Tesla doesn’t see those as necessary.

Tesla will also run guided Cybercab walkthrough sessions every hour at each tour location. Tesla specialists will take visitors through the vehicle’s exterior design, interior, and the technology powering the driverless experience.

And here’s the full schedule of each public showcase across 4 locations:

  • KL – Mid Valley Megamall – October 29 to November 1
  • Selangor – Sunway Square Mall – November 3 to 9
  • KL – Pavilion Damansara Heights – November 10 to 11
  • Penang – Gurney Plaza – November 13 to 22
