OnePlus shook the world a year ago when it announced the One – the flagship killer that no one expected that such a device would ever exist. It uses CyanogenMod’s flavour of Android, and that gives the One an entirely new universe to discover, explore, and tinker.
Despite all of their problems with CyanogenMod over the last few months, OnePlus then sets on to develop their own flavour of Android, called the OxygenOS.
Let’s just say that OxygenOS is where many custom ROM veterans come together and create a brand new software experience. Amazingly, most of them are from my favourite custom ROM – Paranoid Android! I’m actually quite excited on what OnePlus is going to bring!
OnePlus has a FAQ prepared to answer all of your questions right on their website. Also, you’ll have to install yourself and only available in March. Also, OnePlus said the One is going to get two years of support for two years!
That’s a total for 3 years of support for the One!
