It’s rare to see a public launching event that is open for all attendees, and this time is ASUS’s turn – a event that is open for all and I can say is – dang! There are a lot of people who went there! Firstly they opened a site for registrations for the first 1,000 people, then opened another 500 more. 1,500 people registered! Then comes another announcement where it is said to be opened for all.
This morning, KL Live was flooded with people. As in really packed – people were sardined across all 3 dimensions, and there were easily 1,500 attendees at the event.
Right – onward to the ZenFone 2 itself. The earlier leaked prices were actually the real thing, and yes – the highest end model with 64GB storage costs only RM1,299.
The ZenFone 2 will also be available in their ASUS Online Store in the coming weeks.
As for stock however, more ZenFone 2 will be coming to Malaysia by the end of this month, and including some of the other accessories. As I’ve predicted earlier in this article, ASUS Malaysia is bringing all of the below.
Yup, all of the above accessories will be brought to Malaysia some time in the future, hopefully in May. ASUS Malaysia did not provide any official price as the products are not in Malaysia yet, but we converted the prices from Indonesian Rupiah to Malaysian Ringgit in this article.
Also, the two series of backplates will also be brought to Malaysia! Again, the date given is by the end of May only, with no official prices given. My personal favourite is the Illusion series. Absolutely love it.
All we can say is, stay tuned for the official pricing of accessories and the colour variants.
