A10 Networks has announced the acquisition of TrojAI, an AI security company focused on securing, testing, and governing AI applications and agentic workflows. The deal strengthens A10’s efforts to build a comprehensive enterprise AI security platform as organizations increasingly move generative AI and autonomous agents into production environments.
The acquisition adds TrojAI’s AI security technologies to A10’s existing portfolio, including production-grade AI red teaming, runtime AI firewall enforcement, browser-based endpoint protection, and security controls for AI agents after deployment. Combined with A10’s hardware-based AI firewall technologies, the company aims to provide customers with end-to-end AI protection across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure.
A10 stated that the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on its fiscal 2026 financial results. Instead, the company views the transaction as a long-term investment that positions it to capitalize on growing demand for AI security solutions over the next two to five years as enterprises expand AI deployments and adopt more sophisticated agentic workflows.
One of the key additions is TrojAI’s support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an emerging standard that enables AI agents to interact with external tools and services. A10 believes this capability places it ahead of many competitors in securing agentic AI workflows, an area expected to see growing enterprise demand as organizations deploy increasingly autonomous AI systems.
The acquisition also expands A10’s reach within large enterprises, as TrojAI’s customer base includes several Fortune 50 organizations. A10 expects the combined portfolio to provide integrated protection across application delivery controllers (ADC), DDoS mitigation, application security, API security, and AI security, offering customers a broader platform for protecting AI-enabled services.
Citing A10 President and CEO Dhrupad Trivedi’s statement, the growing adoption of AI is creating new security challenges that traditional security controls were not designed to address, and with the integration of TrojAI’s software-based security platform with A10’s infrastructure security portfolio, these will help organizations secure AI models, data, and autonomous agents without compromising performance, availability, or data sovereignty requirements.
TrojAI CEO Lee Weiner said the partnership will allow the company to scale its technology to a wider customer base while helping enterprises and public-sector organizations secure AI deployments without relinquishing control of their security infrastructure.
