So we visited Acer’s COMPUTEX 2025 booth today, and they actually bought the entire lineup previously announced in their general newsletter – expected, but certainly still astonished. But let’s see what some of the highlight products actually look like in real life.
First, we have the Swift Edge 14 AI with its 1kg ultra-lightweight chassis that is also slick and clean. The 14-inch 3K OLED display is impressive, and under the hood is an up to Intel Core Ultra 9 288V CPU, Intel Arc graphics, 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.
The refined magnesium-aluminum body, dual-arrow texture, and stain-resistant UV-coated keyboard give it a premium look and feel.
Now shifting to the Swift Go AI series, available in 14- and 16-inch models, you’ll spot familiar design cues with performance upgrades under the hood. Both variants come with OLED displays – WUXGA on the 14-inch and WUXGA+ on the 16-inch – plus VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and Eyesafe 2.0 certification for eye comfort during long work sessions.
Among the more visual updates is the new Multi-Control Touchpad, which allows media and conference controls directly from the pad surface. Combined with Acer’s MyKey software, these laptops are built for streamlined multitasking.
It also comes with a 1080p FHD IR webcam, backed by Acer’s User Sensing for auto-lock and wake, as well as PurifiedVoice 2.0 tech for crystal-clear calls.
For those who prioritize performance over portability, the Swift X 14 and Swift X 14 AI clearly show they’re geared toward creators and professionals. These models are powered by high-end silicon – either Intel Core Ultra Series 2 or AMD Ryzen AI 300 – and equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs. As NVIDIA Studio-validated machines, they’re optimized for creative workflows straight out of the box.
Visually, they stand out with 14.5-inch 3K OLED touchscreens, Calman-verified with full DCI-P3 color gamut and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The displays are edge-to-edge, stylus-compatible (MPP 2.5), and topped with smudge-resistant Gorilla Glass. Combined with the lay-flat hinge and large haptic touchpad, these laptops invite interaction – whether it’s sketching, editing, or collaborating.
Underneath, a robust cooling setup with dual fans and copper heat pipes keeps performance steady. You’ll also see the same attention to connectivity and conferencing: 1080p IR webcams, Windows Hello, triple mics with noise reduction, and wide port options – all tied together with Wi-Fi 6E for faster connections.
We also have the new monitor products from portable ones (PE160WU, PD163QT, PD243Y E, PM191Q E) that go from medium size to actual giants thanks to the dual-display nature, The ProCreator series (PE320QXT, PE270XT, PE320QK X) newbies are there to showcase their intense color accuracy and features to make every digital artist whole with its variety of options.
We also have the LED projectors PD1810 and PD1520s that target high resolution output and reliability as well as portability, but both of them work in a “standard” way.
The one with the special sauce is the PD152OUs, a short-throw model that detects user input through its projected output. Look at my fingers – It is actually dragging the timeline dot to scratch through the sample video. So, so fun and unique.
At the corner, we finally found the Acer FreeSense Ring, and props to them for providing the ring sizer on the spot so that you can find out your size right away.
Anyway, it is offered in black and some sort of metallic brown, so they do look stealthy and modern for everyday use. It is made from a polished titanium alloy material and comes with biometric sensors that monitor your heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality.
The health data is tabulated by a companion app that provides personalized wellness insights, and yes, the app is free to use – no subscriptions or upgrade shenanigans.
Alongside the ring, we have the AI TransBuds, a pair of wireless earbuds that go beyond just music. Designed for real-time voice translation, these buds support two-way conversation even if only one person is wearing them.
Whether it’s travel, meetings, livestreams, or virtual classes, I think this is just a no-brainer if you want to engage in international communities.
Acer includes support for 15 major languages globally, and the buds also provide live captions and text transcripts – all built into a compact and minimalist form factor that fits right in with today’s smart gear.
Also for funsies, Acer’s “naked eye 3D technology,” SpatialLabs has been adapted for medical equipment use with the demo being a “colonoscopy” tube that can help doctors and surgeons to accurately estimate the depth of “given parts”.
