Acer Malaysia has officially announced the local arrival of the Predator Helios 18 AI gaming laptop to deliver premium desktop-replacement performance for high-end gamers and creators.
The mobile workstation features an 18-inch WQUXGA (3840 x 2400) Mini LED display running at a 120Hz refresh rate with full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Under the hood, the system pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor with either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, backed by a 1TB SSD that supports storage expansion up to 6TB.
Thermal management relies on a 6th-gen AeroBlade 3D fan setup constructed with thin 0.05mm metal blades, working alongside vector heat pipes and liquid metal thermal grease to maintain performance under sustained high loads. Acoustic delivery is handled by Predator Vox, a proprietary six-speaker sound system designed to improve spatial positioning and immersion without requiring external desktop hardware.
RGB lighting is everywhere – Logo, MilkyWay light bar, InfiniteRing accents, in the keyboard, and so on. The keyboard also comes with the Predator MagKey 4.0 magnetic mechanical switches for faster actuation.
Built-in connectivity choices provide Wi-Fi 7 and 5Gb Ethernet through Killer DoubleShot Pro networking, alongside dual onboard Thunderbolt 5 ports for high-bandwidth peripherals.
Launching alongside the laptop, the 1.13kg Acer PM191Q E IPS portable monitor offers an 18.5-inch panel with a 100Hz refresh rate, integrated speakers, and single-cable USB-C connectivity.
To expand this mobile display configuration, the separate AH101 portable monitor stand supports 75 x 75mm and 100 x 100mm VESA mounting standards plus a standard 1/4-inch thread to enable comprehensive tilt, swivel, and height adjustments.
