During the next@acer “Made For Humanity” virtual live stream, Acer is releasing a brand new subseries of offerings that carries the Vero tag as their effort of being part of the driving force for industrial application of environmental sustainability.
Components that include the devices and peripherals are made partially using post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics and being shipped in recyclable packaging to address the environmental sustainability concerns. To be more detailed, the Vero lineup is not a new main family but instead, a “greener” version of existing products and debuting for the very first time are the Acer Aspire Vero and TravelMate Vero laptops, Veriton Vero desktops, Vero BR277 FHD monitor, and a series of accessories and peripherals such as mice, mousepads and laptop sleeves.
First up, the Acer Aspire Vero’s chassis is made of 30% PCR plastic while the keycaps are at 50% with the packaging made from 100% recyclable materials and is repurposable as a DIY laptop stand. The device is now powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with Xe Graphics, a maximum of 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD with Wi-Fi 6 support, a combination of USB-A and USB-C ports.
For business users, the Acer TravelMate Vero is basically the “greener” version of the original in which it can be configured to host a maxed-out set of 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with Xe Graphics, 6GB RAM, and 1TB SSD in addition to biometric authentication measures and stronger encryption layers to protect your data. Acer is also throwing in a few extra things such as customizable boot screens/logos tailored for organizations that want a formal “Office Use Only” infrastructure.
Moving onto the desktop size of things, the Acer Veriton Vero Mini is a compact yet powerful setup that provides next-gen Intel Core vPro CPUs and plentiful connectivity options such as USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, Wi-Fi 6E to fulfill the jobs of office PCs that is both space-saving and sustainable, thanks to the use of 25% PCR plastic for the chassis.
The display lineup also gets a bit of love from the Acer Vero BR277 created with more than 50% PCR plastic while certified by ENERGY STAR, TCP, and EPEAT for producing a very low amount of excess heat loss. Aside from being environmental-friendly, it provides comfort through its ability to be tilted, swiveled, pivoted, and height-adjusted for the perfect viewing angle.
Rounding up the series is the set of Macaron Vero Mouse, Vero Mousepad, and Vero Sleeve to allow buyers to have a full set of Vero items at once.
